2. Services We Provide

Frostys Ice Blasting Solutions LTD provides professional cleaning, blasting and surface preparation services, including but not limited to:

    • Dry ice blasting
  • Coarse blasting using crushed walnut media
  • Vehicle chassis and underbody cleaning
  • Engine bay cleaning
  • Parts cleaning
  • Machinery and equipment cleaning
  • Furniture and restoration cleaning
  • Surface preparation prior to protection, repair, coating or restoration work

Dry ice blasting is a non-abrasive cleaning method where dry ice pellets are projected onto a surface using compressed air. The dry ice sublimates on impact, meaning it changes from solid to gas and leaves no blasting media residue.

Coarse blasting is a process using crushed walnut shell media. It works in a similar way to traditional sandblasting, but uses a natural, biodegradable blasting media that is more environmentally friendly than many conventional abrasive media.

3. Quotations & Estimates

All quotations are based on the information available at the time, including photographs, descriptions, customer information, inspection findings and the visible condition of the vehicle, item, furniture, machine or component.

Quotations may change if:

  • The item is more heavily contaminated than expected
  • Additional work is requested
  • Hidden corrosion, damage, previous repairs or coatings are discovered
  • Parts need to be removed, protected or prepared before work can continue
  • The customer has provided incomplete or inaccurate information
  • The item requires more time, labour or specialist preparation than initially expected

We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before carrying out additional chargeable work. However, small additional costs required to safely continue the service may be applied where necessary.

4. Bookings & Deposits

Some bookings may require a deposit to secure the appointment. Deposits may be non-refundable where time, workshop space, materials, transport, staffing or preparation has already been allocated to your booking.

If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please contact us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee where a booking is cancelled at short notice.

Missed appointments, late arrivals or failure to deliver the item or vehicle at the agreed time may result in the booking being cancelled or rescheduled. Additional charges may apply.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Before leaving a vehicle, part, item, furniture or machine with us, the customer must:

  • Remove all personal belongings and valuables
  • Tell us about any known faults, damage, weak areas, leaks or previous repairs
  • Tell us about any delicate, loose, painted, coated, plated, wrapped or modified surfaces
  • Make us aware of any areas that must not be blasted or cleaned
  • Provide keys, access codes or instructions where required
  • Ensure the item is safe to handle, move and work on

We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left inside vehicles or with goods supplied to us for cleaning.

6. Vehicle Condition, Corrosion & Hidden Damage

Cleaning and blasting processes may reveal pre-existing damage, corrosion, cracks, weak paint, failed coatings, poor repairs, body filler, degraded rubber, brittle plastics, leaks or structural issues that were not visible before work began.

Frostys Ice Blasting Solutions LTD is not responsible for pre-existing defects, hidden damage, corrosion or weak materials that become visible or worsen during cleaning.

Where a vehicle, item or component is already heavily corroded, fragile, perished, poorly repaired or previously damaged, blasting may expose or worsen the condition. The customer accepts this risk when instructing us to proceed.

7. Dry Ice Blasting Limitations

Dry ice blasting is excellent for removing grease, oil, grime, dirt, surface contamination, residues and build-up. However, it is not designed to remove heavy rust, deeply bonded coatings, thick paint systems or severe corrosion.

Results may vary depending on the type of contamination, age of the surface, material condition, coating type and previous treatments.

8. Coarse Blasting Limitations

Coarse blasting is a process using crushed walnut shell media. It is more abrasive than dry ice blasting and can be used for surface preparation, coating removal and restoration work.

Although walnut shell blasting is generally gentler and more environmentally friendly than many traditional blasting materials, it is still an abrasive process. It may affect weak paint, soft coatings, fragile materials, thin metal, delicate trim or already damaged surfaces.

We will take reasonable care when selecting the correct process, pressure and method, but customers must understand that blasting results depend on the condition and suitability of the item being worked on.

9. Suitability of Items

We reserve the right to refuse, pause or stop work if we believe a vehicle, part, furniture item, machine or component is unsuitable for blasting or may be unsafe to clean.

This may include items that are too fragile, structurally unsafe, contaminated with hazardous substances, electrically unsafe, leaking fluids, unstable, difficult to access or likely to be damaged by the requested process.

10. Results & Finish

We aim to achieve the best possible result based on the condition of the item and the selected cleaning method. However, we cannot guarantee a perfect or factory-new finish.

Final results may vary depending on age, contamination, corrosion, coatings, surface condition, previous repairs and material type.

Blasting may reveal stains, marks, corrosion, pitting, scratches, discolouration or previous damage that cannot be removed through cleaning alone.

11. Photographs & Marketing

We may take photographs or videos of vehicles, parts, machinery, furniture or items before, during and after work for inspection, record keeping, training and marketing purposes.

We will not intentionally publish personal information, registration plates, addresses or identifying customer details without consent.

If you do not want your vehicle or item used for marketing, please tell us in writing before work begins.

12. Customer-Supplied Parts, Items & Components

Where customers supply loose parts, components, furniture, machinery or other items for blasting, the customer is responsible for ensuring the item is suitable, safe and legal to handle.

Small parts should be boxed, labelled or grouped clearly. We are not responsible for missing loose fixings, clips, trims, screws, bolts or small components unless they have been individually listed and accepted by us at drop-off.

13. Vehicles Left With Us

Vehicles are left with us at the customer’s own risk. We will take reasonable care of all vehicles while in our possession.

Customers must ensure vehicles are insured, roadworthy where applicable, and legally allowed to be driven or moved where movement is required.

We may need to move vehicles within our premises, workshop area or yard. By leaving a vehicle with us, you give permission for us to move it as required for the service.

14. Access, Keys & Alarms

Where keys, access codes, alarm fobs or locking wheel nut keys are required, the customer must provide them before work begins.

Delays caused by missing keys, immobiliser issues, alarms, flat batteries, seized locks or access problems may result in additional charges.

15. Hazardous Materials

Customers must tell us if any vehicle, item, machinery, furniture or component may contain hazardous materials, including asbestos, fuel residue, chemicals, biological contamination, mould, sharp materials or unknown industrial substances.

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if hazardous materials are suspected or discovered.

16. Payment Terms

Payment is due on completion of the service unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Vehicles, parts, machinery, furniture and other items will not be released until payment has been made in full.

We accept payment by methods agreed at the time of booking or collection.

17. Late Payment

If payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to charge reasonable storage fees, administration fees and recovery costs.

For business customers, statutory late payment interest and compensation may apply where invoices are not paid by the agreed date.

18. Storage Charges & Uncollected Items

Customers must collect vehicles, parts, machinery, furniture and other items promptly once notified that work is complete.

If items are not collected within the agreed time, storage charges may apply.

If an item remains uncollected for an extended period, we may take steps to recover unpaid charges and storage costs. We will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer before taking further action.

19. Cancellations

Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or rearrange a booking.

Deposits, booking fees or preparation costs may not be refundable where costs have already been incurred or workshop time has been reserved.

Consumer customers may have cancellation rights depending on how and where the booking was made. Where a customer asks us to begin work during any cancellation period, they may be required to pay for work already carried out.

20. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate.

Complaints should be made in writing and include your name, contact details, booking details, photographs where relevant and a clear description of the issue.

We will review complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

21. Liability

We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill. However, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or hidden defects
  • Corrosion, pitting or weakness revealed by cleaning
  • Damage caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer
  • Damage to fragile, weak, modified, aged or unsuitable materials
  • Loss of personal belongings left inside vehicles or with items
  • Consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of use or indirect losses

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

22. Business Customers

Where services are supplied to a business customer, the customer is responsible for ensuring the service is suitable for their intended commercial use.

Business customers accept that we are not responsible for loss of profit, downtime, missed deadlines, loss of contracts or other indirect business losses.

23. Consumer Customers

These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time where no specific timeframe has been agreed.

24. Environmental Statement

Frostys Ice Blasting Solutions LTD aims to use cleaning and blasting methods that reduce unnecessary waste, harsh chemicals and excessive clean-up wherever possible.

Dry ice blasting leaves no blasting media residue because the dry ice sublimates into gas on impact.

Coarse blasting uses crushed walnut shell media, a natural and biodegradable material, providing an environmentally friendly alternative to many traditional blasting materials.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website.

The terms that apply to your booking will be the terms in place at the time your booking is accepted, unless changes are required by law.

26. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
